Former Swedish international footballer Marcus Allbäck has been drawn into the bribery scandal investigation. There are low-level suspicions that work on his private villa was paid for by the Sports and Clubs Administration, reports GP.
Björn Breitfeld the lawyer representing Marcus Allbäck told GP that the allegations were preposterous. He said there is documentation showing that Allbäck has paid for everything himself.
Three other people are being investigated in the Gothenburg bribery scandal. These include two former managers from the Sports and Clubs Administration and Marcus' dad Stefan Allbäck.
The hearing for Marcus Allbäck will take place some time next week.
