Finding it hard to decide on which films to see at this year's film festival? With 429 films from 80 different countries, it's not an easy task. Here are some of the organisers' tips to get you started.

Natalia Almada gives us a poetic and almost wordless portrait of Mexico's drug wars. The consequences of the bloody rivalry are shown through night watchman Martin, in charge of a small cemetery in northern Mexico. English subtitles

For this film, director Cong Feng wanted to paint a picture of typical Chinese life in rural areas. In making this very extensive portrait, he maintained the approach of an anthropologist. English subtitles
