Adolphe Binder is the new Artistic Director of the Göteborg Ballet at the Göteborg Opera. She will take over from Johannes Öhman who resigns at the end of the summer.

Adolphe Binder is the head of Binder + Partners in Berlin, which is a production company that works internationally on the contemporary dance arena. She was born in Romania in 1969 and has lived in Germany since 1979. She has also worked as a curator and programmer for international dance festivals and the world exhibition Expo 2000 in Hanover.

- I feel really honoured to navigate The Göteborg Ballet and its great dancers into a promising future. I am happy to enhance the unique profile of this excellent dance company as a radiant platform for innovative dance. For Gothenburg and Sweden no less than for international audiences, says Adolphe Binder in a statement.
