Sweden is a pretty bureaucratic society, and most Swedes seem happy to follow rules and regulations. They pay the wardrobe fee to hang up their jackets, patiently wait for their ticket number to come up in the shop, dutifully swipe their travel card when stepping on the tram... and happily pay for restaurant tap water.

"I can understand that restaurants have to pay water tax. But charging the customers 5 or 10 kr for a glass of water, which they fill from the tap looked funny to me. Possibly this is how it's done in Europe?"
