Gothenburg may get direct flights to New York

Linda Genborg 2011-10-25

A large American airline is preparing to open direct flights between Gothenburg and New York, reports GP. A source with good insight into United Airlines has told the newspaper that the airline is inspecting the conditions at Landvetter Airport.

According to GP the aim is to introduce the new route this autumn, in time for Christmas shopping in New York.

Göteborg & Co, which encourages more direct flights to Gothenburg, declined to comment on the information in order to not disturb the negotiations.
