A research team led by astronomers at Onsala Space Observatory has discovered seven new supernovas.
The discovery was made in a galaxy 250 million light years away. It is the first time that multiple supernovas have been found in a single galaxy.
The findings were presented during Astronomdagarna (Astronomer Days), which started in Gothenburg on Thursday. The conference is for both amateur and professional astronomers.
