Mats Andersson, professor at Chalmers, will be awarded the Arrhenius-plaque 2011 for his research on polymers, including solar cells.
- I am very honoured by the award. Today we are primarily researching a new type of solar cell in plastic, which will be much cheaper to produce, says Mats Andersson in a comment.
Mats Andersson is a material scientist and specialist in design and synthesis of conductive polymers for solar cells and other applications.
He was ranked 53 out of 500,000 audited material scientists in a recent global ranking. Mats Andersson will receive the award on October 19 during the seminar Materials of Tomorrow, held at Chalmers.
