For the first time Gothenburg will host the annual EGOS* colloquium. 1500 international researchers of organisation theory will gather in the city, July 6-9.
- This year's conference will partly focus on identifying the basic mechanisms and elements that enable organisations and communities to stay connected, and partly to find the new organisational forms and principles that lay the foundation for how future economic, technological and social challenges should be organised, says Ola Bergström Professor of Business Administration at the University of Gothenburg's School of Business, Economics and Law in a statement.
Organisation theory involves many disciplines and researchers including historians, technologists, sociologists and business economists will take part in the conference.
- The School of Business, Economics and Law's close collaboration with industry has meant, and means a lot for our research success and we aim that the conference will also reflect how the research can contribute to the development of society, says Ola Bergström.
This year's conference is hosted by the School of Business, Economics and Law of the University of Gothenburg.
* EGOS is the European Group for Organisational Studies. It is a scholarly association which aims to further the theoretical and/or empirical advancement of knowledge about organisations, organising and the contexts in which organisations operate.
