May 10-14. Fackdagar, which is part of the Science Festival in Gothenburg, is a meeting place for researchers, politicians, the media and the business sector. Included on the opening night is a special mingle event for international researchers held at Chalmers.
Also held on May 10 is "Future Science Journalism". This will look at the decreasing coverage of Science and Technology by leading papers and news agencies - in a time when citizens are expected to be "informed" in order to take part in societal issues and public debates on climate change, energy and food. Participating speakers include people from research institutions, communication departments and the media, both based in Sweden and abroad.
The EUSCEA Annual Conference is another Fackdagar event held in English. Taking place on May 13-14, it includes "Panorama Talks", workshops and "Best Practice Talks" as well celebrations for the EUSCEA conference's tenth anniversary.
