Bribery scandal. The political majority in Gothenburg has suggested that an external and independent commission should examine the Gothenburg bribery scandal.
Several new cases have been exposed in the last couple of weeks, and Gothenburg's leading political parties now feel that the investigation has to be intensified.
The Social Democrats, the Left Party and the Greens write in a press release that they want to assign an external actor to review the action program and provide eventual suggestions for complementing measures.
- If further measures are required to achieve zero tolerance to irregularities we will take them. There shall be no doubt regarding the city's position on this matter, says Anneli Hulthén (Social Democrats), chairman of the municipality board, to GP.
