Three cardiac disease researchers at the Sahlgrenska Academy and the Sahlgrenska Hosptial in Gothenburg have been granted close to 10 million kronor to share.
The money is awarded by AFA Insurance, and will be used for research about shift working women's cardiac health, new ways to prevent heart disease due to obesity, and the phenomenon Broken Heart Syndrome, which primarily affects women in connection to negative emotional stress.
