Business incubator Encubator AB has entered a new collaboration with pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca. The project, which involves students from the Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship, will develop an AstraZeneca invention with the aim of creating a new growth company.
"We see this as a pilot project to evaluate possibilities of sharing our business ideas that will not be utilized within our company, but have the potential to be used in areas outside our own core businesses," says Claes Ahlneck, Director Science & Technology, Pharmaceutical Development, AstraZeneca.
Encubator aims to turn ideas mostly from industry and academia into commercial businesses. It works in partnership with entrepreneurship educations at Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg. Over the last 15 years it has incorporated more than 50 new ventures.
