The 27-year-old German man who has lived at Landvetter Airport for almost three months has now left the airport. He was offered a job and accommodation in Stockholm and flew out on Tuesday afternoon.
"He was offered a job and accommodation in Stockholm. The same company paid his flight ticket," says Anci Nilsson from the border police at Landvetter, to GP.
The man lived at the airport for almost three months. He had no money but was given food from airport staff and other travellers. It is not known why the man refused to leave the airport. All he said was that he wanted a job and somewhere to live.
"I'm ashamed. I've had a bad life. I have nowhere to go," the man told Aftonbladet a few days ago.
Anci Nilsson told GP the man has received many other job offers.
"There are more people who have called and wanted to offer him work. The last one was someone from Gothenburg, but I don't know what job it was."
