Vasakronan is purchasing offices and stores in central Gothenburg for 2.15 billion kronor. The portfolio includes the Gårda Business Center, Åhlenshuset and parts of Nordstan.
According to Vasakronan, Gothenburg is an interesting market to invest in.
"There is large demand for offices in Gothenburg and currently we have almost no vacancies to offer the market in our existing portfolio. It is a sign of strength for the rental market in Gothenburg and we forecast that central Gothenburg will continue to have positive development," states CEO Fredrik Wirdenius.
The seller is Diligentia. The portfolio concerns 12 properties totalling about 92,000 square metres in central Gothenburg. 80 percent are offices and 20 percent are stores.
Following the transaction, which should be finalised on April 2, Vasakronan will be the largest owner of both offices and stores in Gothenburg.
