The snowfall that came in over West Sweden on Thursday has been replaced by rain. There is a high risk of slippery conditions on the roads and footpaths.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverkerket) there is a risk of icy roads in Götaland, including Gothenburg.
"During the afternoon and evening, the snow started to turn to rain. The road surfaces are around zero degrees, at the same time there are milder temperatures moving in from the west. The risk of icy conditions is great," says Erik Rindeskär, meteorologist at the Weather Institute Foreca, to Göteborgs-Posten.
