The design for Liseberg's new main entry
The Liseberg Group reports a profit of 78.1 million kronor for 2011. The result was worse than expected and was due to a poor Christmas season, according to CEO Andreas Andersen.
"The Christmas season was rained out but over the whole year it was a satisfactory result," says Andreas Andersen in a press release.
Of the 78.1 million kronor, 21 million will go to the Göteborgs Kommunala Förvaltnings AB (GKF) and the Göteborg Municipality. The remainder will be reinvested to develop and expand the group's operations.
During 2012 Liseberg will invest just over 120 million kronor on new attractions, a new main entry and a number of other improvements.
The Liseberg Group had approximately 2.9 million guests during 2011.
