A 28-year-old man has been arrested in his absence for the stabbing of a 10-year-old girl in
Hjällbo on February 6.
The man is a Swedish citizen but he was arrested abroad. The police are currently working on getting the man to Sweden.
"He was arrested by the local police in the country where he is right now," says police spokesperson Björ Blixter to Göteborgs-Posten.
The police would not reveal in what country the man is or on what grounds the suspicions are based. They would also not reveal how long the man has been a suspect in the case.
The motive for the stabbing is still not known.
