A 27-year-old German man has been living at Landvetter Airport for close to three months. The man has a suitcase and passport, but refuses to leave the airport.
It is not known why he came to Gothenburg or why he doesn't want to leave the airport. The man has no money and survives on hand-outs from the airport café, reports Aftonbladet. Most nights he sleeps in the airport's prayer room.
He blends in with the travellers at the airport and is very friendly towards airport staff and the border police. He doesn't get in anyone's way.
The police have daily contact with the man to make sure he is alright.
"We don't want to force him to leave, because we don't know where he'll go. We just want to help him," says Dan Stjernman, police inspector at Landvetter, to Göteborgs-Posten.
"He does not want to move home. He wants a job and be able to live here. It's not that easy. The German Consulate has tried to help him. He has no money, but people give him food and coffee. People feel bad for him. He's not in the way and he is very nice, and he blends in well with travellers," says Ingegerd Nejding from the Landvetter border police, to Aftonbladet.
