Three municipality-owned real-estate companies have finished their negotiations with the Hyresgästföreningen (Swedish Union of Tenants). 28,000 apartments in Gothenburg will get higher rents during 2012.
It is Bostadsbolaget, Gårdstensbostäder and Hjällbobostaden that have negotiated on the rents for 28,000 apartments. The rent for apartments owned by the companies will increase by an average of 2.0-2.7 percent a month. This means an average of 100-130 kronor per month for a normal size apartment.
The rent increases vary between different buildings depending on location, standard and maintenance.
Bostadsbolaget: between 0 and 3.5 percent increase from March 1 Gårdstensbostäder: an average of 2.7 percent from March 1 Hjällbobostäder: 2 percent from January 1
