The forensic investigation of the fire in a student apartment building in Guldheden has been completed, but analysis results are required before the cause of fire can be established.
The dead person that was found inside and apartment has been identified and his relatives have been notified.
The crime classification is still arson, but this is not because the suspicions have grown stronger, it is in order for the police to carry out certain investigations.
The fire was extinguished on Monday. But on Wednesday a new fire broke out in the building. It turned out to be a small fire at the other end of the building. It is believed to have started in a pile of clothes and the cause of fire is believed to have been due to an electricity fault.
The building is still sealed off and residents have not been able to return to their apartments. The building is in danger of collapsing as load-bearing beams were damage in the fire. The beams need to be stabilised.
