Outdoor concert and light show. Gothenburg's new hotel Clarion Hotel Post opens on January 26 and the owner promises nothing short of a "spectacular" inauguration.
"We haven't held back at all and will go all out from the start. Gothenburg will be able to pride itself on Scandinavia's most innovative hotel inauguration" says Petter A. Stordalen, owner of Nordic Choice Hotels, in a statement.
Over 2,000 guests have been invited to the party in the transformed post-office building from 1925. As for the general public, they can still enjoy the celebrations:
From 18:30 the London based bureaus Park Village and Drive will put on a light show of "absolute world class", which will be projected on the hotel façade and take the audience on a historic journey from the past to the present.
This willl be followed by an outdoor concert on Drottningtorget. Artists include Timbuktu, Danny, Tove Styrke, Ulrik Munther and Oh Fibes!
