The University of Gothenburg (GU) has entered a new collaboration with Zhejiang University, one of China's top-ranking institutions. The agreement, which was announced last week, covers mobility for teaching staff, researchers, doctoral students, administrative staff and students. It will be implemented during 2012.
GU already has in place collaboration agreements with the universities of Fudan and Shanghai Jiao Tong. These universites as well as Zhejiang University are members of the C9 League, which includes China's top nine research universities.
GU's new collaboration with Zhejiang University follows a delegation visit last year, which was led by Vice-Chancellor Pam Fredman. A number of universities in the Shanghai region were also visited.
