Suspected bomb could not explode: police

The suspected bomb that was found in a bag at Myrorna's depot in Angered had no chance of exploding, according to the Gothenburg police.

The suspicious object was found among donations to the help organisation Myrorna on Tuesday afternoon. The police were alerted and a large area was cordoned off. Surrounding shops and offices were evacuated. Bomb technicians were called to the scene and the suspected object was disarmed at around 16:30 on Tuesday afternoon. An examination on Wednesday showed the device would not have been able to explode.

According to the police there is no known threats against Myrorna, reports SVT Västnytt.
