One of the best things about Gothenburg is the nearby archipelago. We asked our panelists about their favourite islands.
Hugh I haven't spent enough time on the islands to have a favourite, sadly, but I was recently on Brännö with some friends and whiled away a very pleasant afternoon drinking the local brew in their beer garden while a couple of the guys from Soundtrack of Our Lives lazily strummed at a nearby table. Fittingly enough, they were working on a cover of Lou Reed's 'Perfect Day', so I have nothing but fond memories of this particular rock.
Cristina I love Vrångö, which has probably shined through in my previous answers. Further north, I also really like Orust and Tjörn. At Skärhamn, Tjörn, there is a wonderful watercolour museum (the Nordic Watercolour Museum), Nordiska Akvarellmuseet, which is always worth a visit!
Karen Favourite island in the archipelago - all of them! The archipelago is gorgeous. Everyone has something special.
Carlos I've been to most of the islands in the southern archipelago and I actually don't have a favourite. I think they all have something to different to discover. Old fishing villages, walking tracks, swimming spots ... even sheep.
