Viewing the city's annual fireworks display

Ben Kendall 2011-12-30

Every New Year's Eve, the city showcases its annual fireworks display. With a launchpad in Kvillepiren, over a hundred thousand people gather by the harbour and at different viewpoints around the city to watch the explosive show. It begins at 17.00 and lasts for about ten minutes.

Some of the better viewing points include Lilla Bommen, Frihamnen, Ramberget, Göta Älv Bron, Johanneberg, Vattentornet in Landala, Skansen Kronan, Utsiktstornet in Slottskogen, Masthuggskyrkan, and Älvsborgsbron.
