Among 79 teams from around the world, a group of students from Chalmers has come in fourth place at this year's Formula Student competition at Silverstone race track in England.

- Not since a second place in Australia in 2003 has a Chalmers Formula Student vehicle been in the top ten, says Malin Kjellberg who is responsible for the course where the students build the vehicle, in a press release.

- CFS is now so good that we can measure up against established teams from among others Stuttgart and Munich.

Chalmers Formula Student is a student project and a course at Chalmers University of Technology. The project gathers a team of around 30 students every year to build a single-seated racing car.

The vehicles are assessed in various categories including endurance and fuel economy, a sprint race, design, cost and a 10-minute sales presentation.
