For about three decades Thurston Moore has been the singer and guitar ace of experimental/noise rock band Sonic Youth. He last took to the Way Out West stages in 2008 when Sonic Youth were one of the main acts of the festival.

Annie Clark, better known as St Vincent, is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter. She was a member of The Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens' Touring Band.

Other confirmed acts include Feist, Bon Iver, Florence + the Machine and Billy Bragg.
