Volvo Cars has confirmed an interest in purchasing parts of Saab Automobile, including modern tools and equipment.
As recent as last week, Volvo Cars declined to comment on whether it had an interest in Saab Automobile. But on Monday press manager Per-Åke Fröberg confirmed to the newspaper TTELA that Volvo Cars would like to have "parts of Saab".
He said that it is too early to say anything more, but that Saab has modern equipment that any carmaker would be interested in.
According to TTELA there were reports on Sunday suggesting that Indian company Mahindra are either on their way or have already submitted a bid to Saab's bankruptcy trustees.
